About Max Aitken Academy

Max Aitken Academy, with 580 students enrolled, is a dynamic and inclusive K-8 school that strives to make a positive impact on both our students and our community. Our school spirit is driven by initiatives like Reverse Trick or Treating, Santa for Seniors, the Food For Friends Food Drive, and Helping Hands for Needy Families—all of which are powered by our dedicated students. We take great pride in our multicultural community, welcoming families from nearly 30 different countries, and fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated and valued.
We are proud of the incredible transformation that turned three former schools—Croft Elementary, Harkins Elementary, and Harkins Middle School—into a unified K-8 school. Our new playground, the Middle School soccer field, and outdoor basketball court provide students with exciting spaces to learn and play. Max Aitken Academy is committed to empowering students to be change-makers in their school and community, teaching them to identify needs and confidently address them. Our school also boasts New Brunswick’s first forest classroom, a model that has inspired other schools across the province, and outdoor education is a key component of our curriculum at every grade level.
