In literacy this week we are working on the ph = f sound. As well we will be looking at syllables and the plural version of words. We are continuing to work on our theme on emotions. We have been identifying emotions and our responses to those emotions, and are working on a writing piece to showcase that.

In math we are continuing to work on friendly numbers and bridging ten for addition and subtraction. We have also started working on problem strings for addition and subtraction taken from Pam Harris’ Numeracy Problem Strings book.

Words for this week are: après, arrive, mange, mes, ne, peux, pas, parle, est-ce que, voir

We are continuing with the theme of emotions.

The shelving unit has been completed and the lighting installed, so we will hopefully be able to start germinating some seeds soon!

Water bottles

Just a reminder that we do not have drinking fountains at school, just bottle filling stations. Students must remember their water bottles daily so they can have water to drink.

During explore time this week, we will be working on setting up our classroom garden! Hopefully we will be able to start some seeds by the end of the week.

Just a reminder to make sure that students are dressed to go outside for recess. We will try to spend some time outside for outdoor learning as well on days that are not too cold with the wind chill.
